Bio & Education

Elizabeth Lackey received her Masters in Conflict Resolution from UNCG in 2008, then earned a PhD in Conflict Analysis from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale in 2016.

Elizabeth’s specific interests and research areas are in conflict behavior, conflict coaching, interpersonal, family, and group conflict, and educational and organizational conflicts. Her dissertation is titled A Phenomenological Study of the Impact of Living in Residential Group and/or Foster Care on Adult Conflict Behavior and embodied each of these elements.

In addition to teaching in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at UNCG, Elizabeth works at Stanly Community College in Albemarle, NC, as a success coach, advisor, and mentor in the School of Transfer. Dr. Lackey enjoys teaching and mentoring students.
