Originally from Egypt, a country located in northeast Africa, Hoda moved to the United States in 2013 with her husband, who was completing his Master’s and Ph.D. during that time. Before making Greensboro her home, Hoda resided in two American cities: Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Bloomington, Indiana. It was during her time in these cities that she welcomed the arrival of her two wonderful children. Hoda accomplished attainment of her B.A. in Political Sciences from UNCG in the Fall of 2020. Due to her passion for public service, Hoda decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Administration, successfully graduating in the Spring of 2023.

Hoda is very passionate about serving the immigrant and refugee communities and improving their quality of life. Throughout her time in the United States, Hoda engaged closely with immigrants and refugees and observed the multiple barriers these newcomers face when they relocate to a new country. The volunteer roles she undertook within refugee organizations opened her eyes to the incredible positive change that volunteers can bring to the lives of newcomers. Hoda joined the CNNC as a Volunteer and Intern Coordinator in August 2023. Her primary goal is to build a strong volunteer and intern program and ensure that volunteers and interns feel supported, valued, and appreciated for the time and dedication they give to the CNNC mission.

In her free time, Hoda enjoys swimming, going shopping, cooking new recipes, and spending some time with family and friends.
