Research

Dr. Lawler’s research focuses on the epistemology of scientific inquiry. She works on the nature of (answers to) why questions, explanatory knowledge, scientific understanding, scientific models and idealizations, progress in science and philosophy, scientific disagreement, and applied statistical reasoning.
