Biography
Janet Allard is a playwright, musical bookwriter/lyricist, television writer and video game writer. Her plays and musicals have received over 400 productions worldwide including internationally in Canda, Greece, Australia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom. Her work is published by Samuel French, Playscripts, Inc, Stage Partners, and Smith and Kraus.

Scholarly Creative/Research Activity
Musicals include: Alexander Supertramp (with Composer Niko Tsakalakos): Developed by Playwrights Horizons, Perseverance Theater, Berkeley Rep, Rhinebeck Writer’s Retreat, and Encore Musical Theater. Pool Boy at Barrington Stage, Pittsburgh CLO, Provincetown Playhouse, The Unknown: Jonathan Larson Award with P73, NYMF, Joe’s Pub @ The Public Theatre. Awards include Two Jerome Fellowships at The Playwrights’ Center, three Macdowell Colony Fellowships, A North Carolina Arts Council Individual Artist Grant, and a Writer’s Residency Grant from NAMT.
