Research
Janet Boseovski studies social and cognitive development in early to late childhood. Her main areas of research include children’s body image development, children’s perceptions of power, status, and wealth, the development of trait understanding, and children’s informal learning in science center settings. Recent projects include a book for mothers on fostering healthy body image in their daughters: beyondbodypositive.com

Janet Boseovski currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greensboro Science Center, and she is a member of the Board of the Jean Piaget Society. She developed “Crafts & Conversation,” a community event that has been held bi-weekly at LeBauer Park in downtown Greensboro since the park’s inception. Her laboratory, which includes undergraduate and graduate student researchers, provides fun, free, developmentally appropriate crafts for children.
