Janet Imrick keeps faculty and staff connected with the Chancellor and the news coming out of departments and administrative units. She oversees the weekly Campus Weekly newsletter. She writes about students, faculty, staff, and alumni for UNCG News.

Get to Know Us

Since growing up in the literal shadow of the Piedmont’s old textile mills, this North Carolina native fostered a fancy for old architecture, history, travel, fantasy, and music.

Her love of storytelling was further cultivated by the Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden mysteries on her bookshelves, and the theater downtown that became her second home. Ask her about her travels at your own peril; it will be hard to stop her once she begins regaling you with tales of Galway, Ireland and Gaming, Austria.

After graduating from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, she returned to milder winters and became a producer for FOX8 News in High Point. She is honored to join the University Communications team at UNCG, and to promote professors’ groundbreaking research, the valuable impact of staff, and the success of students and alumni.
