Biography
Jennifer Hutchens worked in the Department of Art from 2005 – 2011. After taking some time off for family she eagerly returned to the School of Art in 2017 when it became the fourth School within the College of Visual and Performing Arts. She is a 1998 UNCG alumna earning her BA in Psychology.
As an Administrative Support Associate, Jennifer performs a wide variety of administrative duties from serving as point of contact for students, faculty, alumni, and visitors, she provides administrative and event support, handles course scheduling, social media announcements, and assists with business services as needed.
She enjoys observing the art students develop their artistic practices as they progress through the program and the creative collaborations they develop with other UNCG students. Away from work Jennifer enjoys spending time with family, reading, and being out in nature.
Areas of Responsibility
- Serves on CVPA committees as needed
- Backup to School of Art Business Officer for HR and purchase reconciliations
- Point of contact for students, faculty and visitors to the Gatewood Building
- Maintains events calendars, spaces, and social media pages
- Utilizes a variety of applications such as Digital Measures, Scholarship Universe, Spartan Mart, Spartan Talent, EMMA, WordPress, Argos, CLSS, Courseleaf, and Webfocus
