Ms. Jenny Southard, also known by students and advisees as Ms. S., is a Senior Lecturer in Communication Studies at UNCG with a passion for helping students connect communication concepts to their academic, professional, and everyday lives. Her work focuses on communication pedagogy, interpersonal and workplace communication, instructional design, and innovative approaches to student learning. An award-winning educator, Ms. Southard has contributed to the discipline through teaching, research, conference presentations, publications, advising, and professional service. At UNCG, she also serves as Head of Advising for Communication Studies and Internship Coordinator; supporting students as they connect their education with their future goals.
