Biography

Jordan T. Robinson (he/they) is a North Carolina–based artist, curator, and arts administrator whose work harnesses the power of art to uplift communities and catalyze social change. Jordan has curated 20+ exhibitions—including the multiyear advocacy project Transparency—that center marginalized narratives and transform galleries into spaces for healing, dialogue and action.

With degrees in Media Design (NC A&T SU) and Arts Administration (SCAD), Robinson blends creative strategy with operational expertise to build the futures Robinson, and the communities they help, dreams. From communications work at multiple museums to visual storytelling in their creative projects, they translate complex ideas into accessible tools for reflection and action. The exhibitions they curate are deeply rooted in empathy, conversation, and cultural responsiveness—principles shaped by early leadership roles in programs like NCCJ’s Anytown and community forums at the Mint Museum and Alliance Theatre. Their achievements as an Eagle Scout have also informed their leadership methods and continued duty to others. Robinson’s work has earned support from the Pivotal Fund, Campaign for Southern Equality, and Queer Mobilization Fund in creating programs that advocate community. Memoria, Transparency, Blankhood, Bloom, and Yasuke are examples of said advocacy.

Robinson’s mission is simple but expansive: use art as a tool to help people be seen, heard, and connected. Every installation, workshop, and archive reimagines the role of creativity in the public sphere —with the goal of sparking genuine conversation, facilitating desire, and advocating action for change
