Bio & Education
Dr. Fox-Thomas serves as the Assistant Director and Coordinator of Audiology Services at the Speech and Hearing Center where she has worked since 2003. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a Ph.D. in Communication Disorders. Previously, she received a master’s degree in Audiology from UNCG and a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Dr. Fox-Thomas specializes in the evaluation and management of tinnitus, sound sensitivity disorders, and auditory processing disorder. She is a certified health coach (CHC) and HeartMath practitioner. Dr. Fox-Thomas also offers integrated listening systems (iLs) and Interactive Metronome (IM) training and is a certified Dangerous Decibels educator. She teaches both in the classroom and clinic and mentors doctoral students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Dr. Fox-Thomas has presented her clinical work and research at a local, state, and national level.
