Biography

Mark Giddarie is a practitioner-scholar who is passionate about bridging the gap between theory and practice in the classroom. He earned his Doctor in Business Administration and Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Applied Technologies at the University of South Florida. He also possesses a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Management from his undergraduate university, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Giddarie’s research interests include early-stage entrepreneurial team development and entrepreneurial mindset. He has participated as an advisor and mentor in the USF I-corps National Science Foundation site program and mentored and advised student-led companies at the USF Student Innovation Incubator.

Outside of academia, Giddarie is a business owner and entrepreneur. He operates a privately held residential/commercial real estate investment firm and has initiated startups in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors. He is also a proud United States Air Force veteran, FAA-certified Gold Seal flight instructor pilot, and commercial pilot.
