Born in South Korea, Nisha has lived in many places but considers North Carolina home. As the daughter of an immigrant she understands the unique challenges that our newest neighbors face. This life experience led her to join as a service member, and later as a staff member, with AmeriCorps ACCESS. She has recently moved back to Greensboro from Austin, TX and is happy to rejoin The Center for New North Carolinians as the Training Coordinator for the AmeriCorps ACCESS Project.
Nisha earned her B.A. in English at East Carolina University and her M.F.A. in Film & Video Production at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her 3 children, 1 husband, and 4 dogs, loves cooking and trying new recipes, and watching stand up comedy.
