Rosa Gisely Guzman Santos has served as a Community Health Worker (CHW) with the Strong Minds, Strong Communities program since 2020. Originally from the Dominican Republic, she moved to the United States in 2012. This transition presented challenges as she navigated a new country, culture, and language. However, she successfully adapted and is now fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

In 2021, Rosa earned her BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Throughout her years with Strong Minds, she has developed a strong passion for empowering individuals to feel comfortable within themselves and their community. Witnessing the positive transformations in people’s lives through the program’s materials is deeply rewarding for her, and knowing she played a part in that change brings her immense joy.

During her leisure time, Ms. Guzman Santos enjoys singing, spending quality time with her family and friends, reading, and watching Netflix. She also has a love for travel and appreciates natural beauty, such as sunsets, the beach, and the mountains, finding connection and peace in these experiences.
