Sara Cavenaugh

Bio

Sara serves as the Digital Content Manager at the University of North Carolina Greensboro within Information Technology Services (ITS). Since 2016, she has orchestrated communication strategies for diverse IT projects, disseminating critical information across the university community. Sara also serves as the knowledge manager for the ITS department, overseeing the enhancement and maintenance of the ServiceNow Knowledge Base. 

With a decade as an IT Project Manager in ITS before her current role, Sara managed complex projects, ensuring transitions to operations and adherence to best practices. In her earlier role as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Technology Officer for ITS, Sara demonstrated her skills in project management, data analysis, and technical assistance while she organized schedules, curated agendas, and documented proceedings. Her project management and communication experience along with her institutional knowledge of more than two decades make her uniquely suited to her present communications and knowledge management role. 

Sara’s academic journey includes a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Video Production from UNCG. Sara also holds a Project Management Professional Certification from PMI and a certificate in ITIL Foundations v3.
