Bio
Shannon has professional experience in non-profit, early childhood education, elementary education, and higher education and has focused on providing direct student support and training and development across those roles. Shannon holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Educational Development and recently completed a Post-Bacc Certificate in Instructional Design, all from UNC-Greensboro. Shannon has been at UNCG in various capacities since 2016 and has developed an interest in the way technology impacts the student experience through their work in the Students First Office as an undergraduate advisor and as a First Year Experience (FYE 101) instructor. Shannon’s primary interests include incorporating trauma-informed principles in educational spaces, learner-centered technology use, and leveraging technology for educational equity.
