BIO

Stephanie Guzman serves as the Assistant Director, University Teaching & Learning Commons supporting Graduate Student Teaching and Mentoring. She also serves as the expert in intercultural pedagogy and practice. Stephanie is a proud alumna of both UNCG and the Lloyd International Honors College. She received her B.A. in Anthropology and Spanish after studying for a full academic year in Toledo, Spain through one of UNCG’s international exchange partnerships. Stephanie went on to receive a PostBac in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from UNCG, and her M.A. in Educational Media with a concentration in New Media Literacies and Global Perspectives from Appalachian State University. Stephanie currently teaches a seminar course in the Residential Colleges within the MAC Global Engagement and Intercultural Learning competency. Stephanie is always looking for creative ways to incorporate technology and inclusive pedagogies into the learning environment and is excited to share her passion for all things global with the campus community.
