Teah Rawlings
Bio & Education
Dr. Rawlings is an AP Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at UNCG. She earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from UNC Charlotte, an M.S. in Recreation Administration from NCCU, and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Curriculum and Pedagogy in Physical Education from UNCG. She is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional with the National Recreation and Park Association and a certified Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine.
Rawlings is an advocate for student development and uses her interdisciplinary education and professional experiences in kinesiology, recreation, and public health to prepare the next generation of professionals. She is especially passionate about supporting kinesiology students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions, the professional development of underrepresented students in kinesiology, and creating opportunities for belonging and career exploration through experiential learning.
