Biography
Tom has been working professionally in technical theater since 2004 and currently serves as the Technical Director for UNCG, where he thrives on inspiring creativity in both students and colleagues. Since 2012, he has had the privilege of mentoring emerging designers and technicians, encouraging them to embrace the collaborative process and tackle the challenges of producing live theater. Over the years, Tom has held several key roles, including Lead Carpenter at Triad Stage (2006-2012), Design/Tech Supervisor at Adelphi University (2012-2016), and Technical Director at Hofstra University (2016-2023). While his expertise is primarily in scenic construction, he also has valuable experience in lighting and props, rounding out his broad skill set in theater production.
