Brief Bio

My research interests center around using strength-based perspectives to understand Black family processes in context. Specifically, my research uses a sociocultural lens to understand the factors that contribute to positive parenting behaviors and children’s well-being, with a particular focus on Black fathering, family support networks, and ethnic-racial socialization.
