I knew I wanted to go into education because of the impact my second grade teacher had on me. She made learning exciting, made every student feel special, and created a classroom that felt like home. Maria Rodriguez Campos, Elementary Education Major
As a young kid I always thought becoming a teacher would be the best for me. I love kids and I want to help them learn, because when I was a student I felt like I didn’t have interaction with my teacher due to being shy. I want to help kids learn and enjoy school themselves.

I find that I’m a “people person” in [Information technology], and I want to keep being that. Being able to work with students and be a mentor of sorts, as well as offering a fresh and creative perspective, is incredibly fulfilling. It’s my hope to work in this field for a long while!
