The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge has awarded UNC Greensboro the Highly Established Action Plan Seal 2024 for the University’s work to increase nonpartisan democratic engagement. The University’s plan centers around students and promotes civic learning, political engagement, and college student voter participation.

Organized by the Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement, the University’s plan includes four Democracy Fellows who work throughout the year to educate their fellow students about voting and civic engagement.

“I am proud of the Student Affairs staff who work diligently with our Democracy Fellows and other students to get the vote out during this election year,” said Dr. Cathy Akens, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. “From our Voter 101 workshops which help students register to vote and know the difference between elections to our efforts to be a voter friendly campus, this honor is well deserved and is a reflection of our commitment to a civic education.”

UNCG is one of 93 institutions to receive this year’s honor. UNCG is also a 2023-2024 “Voter Friendly Campus” and was voted one of the best colleges for student voting by “Washington Monthly.”
