Commuters to the UNC Greensboro campus may need to take detours or set aside more time for driving during a sign refurbishment project in Greensboro’s College Hill neighborhood.

Starting Monday, June 5, the city is removing decorative street name signs and sign posts along about 30 intersections in the neighborhood directly east of UNCG’s campus. They will be refurbished and upgraded then reinstalled. Supplemental signage will be added to 12 intersections. Some intersection lanes may be temporarily closed so that contractors can work safely.

This project is expected to take two months and could cause some minor traffic delays.
