Flowers bloom outside the Elliott University Center.

The iBelong Project Implementation Team requests proposals for the third year of the demonstration grant project. Funded projects will focus on building community and student belonging at UNC Greensboro, particularly those that help students develop deeper connections to the campus and one another.

UNCG student groups and organizations as well as faculty and staff can submit a proposal that expands on their prior year project or to implement an entirely new project. Teams may submit requests for up to $500.

Special consideration will be given to proposals that use campus catering as part of the project. A few examples of previously funded projects include a program that helped onboard new international students, a digital fashion show to highlight student design work, and a program that focused on helping first generation students get adjusted to life at UNCG. More examples can be found here.

Proposal Requirements:
• Clear intended outcomes and evaluation criteria (ex: The program will help provide a sense of
community among XX population of students by hosting digital meet and greets.)
• Expected student impact with clearly identified target audience and how it will support belonging with
the target audience
• Budget explanation

Timeline:
• Proposals due October 30th
• Grant recipients notified due November 5th
• Project implementation deadline due March 1st
• Final report due March 15th

Please email a one or two-page project proposal to iBelong@uncg.edu using the following information:
• Intended Outcomes and Evaluation Criteria
