The UNCG Classical Society invites everyone to a day of activities related to the ancient world. Join them for mock military demonstrations, dramatic readings, ancient make-up booths, soothsaying, Roman bread, board games, and more.

The event is Saturday, October 29 at 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

The UNCG Classical Society is dedicated to promoting knowledge and appreciation of the Greco-Roman world and the creation of community and camaraderie among members.

Classical Studies covers a variety of areas, including classical literature from archaic Greek poetry to Medieval Latin. Current areas of research include Aegean archaeology, mythology, Greek tragedy, Roman law, archaeology of the Roman Empire, linguistics, Greek and Latin pedagogy, and classical oratory. It offers many interactive undergraduate research opportunities, including a summer archaeological excavation in Greece.
