The UNCG Staff Senate Service Committee is happy to announce two service opportunities planned for the 2022 holiday season, including Family Room events, and the annual UNCG Angel Tree. These events are great opportunities to give back to the community and help those in need.

All UNCG Staff members receive 24 hours of paid time to participate in volunteer and community service opportunities.

Two Family Room Volunteer Days are scheduled on October 24 and November 21 from 9 a.m. to Noon. Typical volunteer needs include: helping with sorting and hanging clothes, cleaning the building, assembling furniture and shelves, data entry, and putting donation items away. Sign up to volunteer here.

The UNCG Angel Tree is an annual drive to provide a wonderful holiday experience to individuals and their families in our campus and Greensboro communities who can use a helping hand. Nominations are open from October 4 to November 4 for individuals, or if you know of another family who needs assistance.

In order to nominate a family:
• Choose a family in need
• Discuss with the family their specific needs
• Check for sizes, favorites, and gift card preference
• Fill out the 2022 Angel Tree Application
• Email the completed form to Staff Senate Service Committee members Allysa Robinson or Jennifer Boggs.

All UNCG Angel Tree Nominations are due by November 4 at 5 p.m.

Follow the Staff Senate on social media (Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook) for more information.
