Perry Flynn (Communication Sciences and Disorders) received new funding from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction for the project “Exceptional Children State Speech-Language Consultant (2021-2022).”

UNC Greensboro will provide a range of professional services for the North Carolina State Board of Education during the period of July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022. The services provided for the Exceptional Children Division of the State Department of Public Instruction will be carried out by UNCG’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

The services include providing assistance in the areas of speech-language pathology to the State Department of Public Instruction, local education agencies, and Charter schools. Delivery of the services will be carried out by Perry Flynn, Lecturer in Speech-Language Pathology at UNCG. He will submit monthly reports to the Section Chief, Areas of Exceptionality, Exceptional Children Division addressing the services provided during his involvement. The University will provide office space for Mr. Flynn and a part-time secretary.
