Our Curriculum
This 45 credit-hour program can be completed in two years by full-time students. Part-time students typically graduate in three years. Evening classes make this program a great fit for working professionals or full-time students who need flexibility during the day.
As a UNCG MPH student you’ll complete 39 credits of coursework about the core areas of public health, with an emphasis on examining the root causes of health within society. Your classes will cover topics including epidemiology, environmental/societal impacts on health, health policy and advocacy, and program planning and assessment. You will conclude your time in the program with a 6-credit hour internship where you can apply your knowledge at a community organization.
Your Journey
Throughout the MPH program, you’ll master core public health concepts and specialize in health education. By the end, you’ll be ready to tackle a range of public health and healthcare challenges, all while advocating for social justice, ecological health, and leveraging technology to make a difference.
