Department Webpage | E-mail
Janet is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at UNCG. She is interested in how children learn to make personality judgments about other people (e.g., niceness; meanness; intelligence) and how they decide who is a trustworthy source of knowledge about the social and natural world. Janet’s research has been published in professional academic journals such as Child Development and Developmental Psychology, and her work has been supported by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. In her spare time, Janet enjoys practicing Ashtanga yoga and taking long hikes in the mountains of North Carolina, both of which justify her tendency to devour the fabulous baked goods that seem to find their way into the lab and her home.
