Dr. Stephen Sills (Center for Housing and Community Studies) received new funding from the E Pluribus Unum Institute for the project “Policy Scholar E Pluribus Unum Fund.”

At the invitation of Donnie Charleston, Director of Public Policy and Advocacy, E Pluribus Unum Fund, Dr. Sills will assist in the mission of advancing racial equity by acting as a 2021 Policy Scholar to the projects and efforts of the Fund.

The E Pluribus Unum Fund was formed in 2018 with the goal of confronting the issue of race head-on in order to advance progress and unite around a common purpose. E Pluribus Unum is building programs and initiatives focused on cultivating and empowering courageous leaders who are advancing racial equity, changing the divisive narratives that perpetuate systemic and interpersonal racism, and championing transformative policy change. Through this work, E Pluribus Unum will create a vision for a more just, equitable, and inclusive South, setting an example for the rest of the nation.
