It will soon be that time of year to welcome the newest Spartans and their guests to UNCG. New Student Transitions & First Year Experience is looking for volunteers to help us welcome our new Spartans and their families to SOAR in June!
SOAR volunteers are asked to warmly greet our guests and be helpful directional guidance, as well as answer general questions about SOAR and UNCG. Volunteering consist of two-hour morning shifts and take place outside, near our parking and check-in sites.
Please fill out this form to sign up for a volunteer shift or multiple. The deadline to sign up for a volunteer shift is Friday, May 12 at 5 p.m.
All volunteers will receive a lime green UNCG t-shirt to wear during their shift, a pom-pom, and other helpful items. Volunteers will also be invited to the SOAR Preview, taking place on June 2 at 3 p.m. More details about SOAR Preview will be sent closer to the date.
Please consult with your supervisor about your interest in volunteering and how this time might impact your work day. Flex and comp time are at the discretion of your supervisor; supervisors will receive notification of your volunteer shift.
