Table of gifts inside UNCG Alumni House.

As the holiday season approaches, the UNCG Staff Senate is proud to continue its cherished tradition of hosting the Spartan Season of Giving. This annual initiative is dedicated to supporting members of the UNCG community who may be in need, ensuring they and their families can enjoy a joyful holiday.

This year, the Spartan Season of Giving will be supporting six UNCG staff families and two student families. Amazon Wish Lists for each of these families are now live, and the lists can also be found on the Staff Senate website.

Gifts will be accepted through Dec. 10, and Staff Senate invites all of campus to join us for the Spartan Season of Giving Wrapping Party on Dec. 15 in Marcus T. Johnson Alumni House’s Betsy Oakley Family Reception Room. Light refreshments will be provided.

This year, we include a new option to contribute to the project. This option allows a donation as an Amazon gift card in any dollar amount. Staff Senate will use these donated funds to purchase items on the wish list. For example, if four $10 donations are provided, Staff Senate can use that to purchase one $40 item from the list. This option gives more flexibility on donation amounts.

If you would like to provide any items outside of Amazon, or if you have any additional comments or questions, please contact SSOG Committee Co-chairs Bridget Boyles at bcboyles@uncg.edu or Kammy Jefferson at kmwhite7@uncg.edu.

Last year, thanks to your incredible generosity, we were able to bring holiday cheer to six UNCG community families, collecting 110 heartfelt gifts from 47 caring individuals.

We invite you to join us in making this year’s Spartan Season of Giving even more impactful. Your donations, whether through the Amazon Wish Lists or other contributions, will help ensure that our UNCG families have a memorable and joyous holiday season.
