A UNCG acceptance is just the first open door in a series of opportunities that are presented to students who wear the blue and gold. Whether they arrive in Greensboro as transfer students, from military service, through on-line programs, or as the first in their family to attend college, supportive resources are in place to ensure success.

At UNCG, students don’t get lost in the crowd. Faculty and staff have our students’ backs with individual advising, financial aid, tutoring, and academic support so they can make the most of their education.

Beyond academics, UNCG believes that experiences with service organizations, leadership positions, real-world internships, hands-on research, and study abroad extend our students’ perspectives. A UNCG education brings the world to our students and takes our students out into the world.

Offering more Gilman Scholarships for study abroad than any other university in North Carolina, our Global Engagement Office likes to tell students, “If you can afford to go to UNCG, you can afford to study abroad.” This emphasis on immersive cultural experiences makes Spartans open-minded citizens and marketable hires for their future employers. 

Extracurriculars and hands-on experience offer more open doors for students at UNCG. It allows them to combine passions with studies and build a resume that stands out.
