A UNCG student shakes hands with a recruiter.

Career and Professional Development asks faculty and staff to encourage students to attend the Career & Internship Fair on Oct. 1. This event at the Kaplan Center gives them a chance to explore career options, network, and learn about the job opportunities at their fingertips.

The fair runs from noon to 4 p.m. in the Kaplan Center. This campus-wide recruiting event will feature over 100 employers eager to connect with Spartans from all majors for internships, part-time jobs, and full-time positions.

Students may register in advance on Handshake and view the entire list of employers attending.

Faculty are encouraged to bring their classes or allow students to attend during this time, giving them the chance to connect with professionals and learn about options in their fields. Students should come prepared to make a strong first impression, dress professionally, bring copies of their résumé, and be ready to talk about their skills and goals.

Career and Professional Development also offers sessions to prepare students to meet with employers.

From Fortune 500 companies to local organizations, this is a great opportunity to work with recruiters who are ready to hire Spartan talent.
