Trails on UNCG campus near the golf course.

The Peabody Park Preservation Committee, with the help of the NC Forest Service, plans to conduct a controlled burn of the Piedmont Prairie Restoration Area on the UNCG campus.

Weather permitting, this will take place on Thursday, January 9 or Friday, January 10.

You may see smoke coming from the northwest corner of the main campus, along the creek between the golf course and the soccer fields.

For any questions about the burn, contact Dr. Kevin Wilcox, associate professor of biology, at k_wilcox@uncg.edu.
