Forbes recognizes UNC Greensboro (UNCG) as one of America’s Best-In-State Employers for 2023. UNCG has been on the list for three consecutive years and is now deemed a “3-Year Champion” by the media outlet.
“Our vast array of people makes UNCG a special place to learn and work,” said UNCG Chancellor Frank Gilliam. “This consistent, national recognition is a testament to the collaborative and welcoming environment our faculty and staff cultivate for our students and for one another.”
America’s Best-In-State Employers were identified based upon an independent survey of employees working for companies and based on three distinct criteria:
- Direct Recommendations – employees rated their willingness to recommend their employer to family and friends; gave opinions on working conditions, diversity, potential for development, and more.
- In-State Indirect Recommendations – participants evaluated employers in their state that stand out either positively or negatively.
- National In-Industry Indirect Recommendations – participants evaluated other employers (nationally) in their respective industries that stand out either positively or negatively.
Forbes notes the 3-Year Champion designation is a direct reflection of the satisfaction, professional fulfillment, inclusiveness, fairness, and trust of those who work at UNCG.
