Two UNCG students share resumes with a job recruiter.

Once students have figured out their class schedule for the new semester, introduced themselves to new friends, and checked out all the clubs and organizations, they can jump on upcoming chances to meet several prospective employers at once.

UNC Greensboro Career and Professional Development (CPD) has scheduled a Part-Time Job Fair this August, followed by a Career and Internship Fair in September. Both fairs let students introduce themselves to local companies and University campus units offering jobs, internships, and graduate programs. From national companies to regional nonprofits and local organizations, these fairs provide excellence opportunities for Spartans to expand their networks.

It’s why CPD encourages faculty and staff to ensure students have some time during those events to drop by, résumés in hand.

Why should students mark these dates on their calendars? Because their next job could be their foot in the door to their dream career. Students who take internships enjoy higher chances of getting full-time job offers. Spartans have a good reputation for showing up to work with a strong, can-do attitude (Link to Becky’s story here.)

CPD will offer preparation sessions leading up to the fair to help students feel confident meeting with employers. CPD strongly recommends wearing business casual attire. Students ought to come with multiple copies of their résumés. First impressions are important. You never know what connections you will make!

Part-Time Job Fair

The 2026 Part-Time Job Fair is on Aug. 20. It’s a chance to talk with recruiters and find paid work to give them experience alongside their education. It runs 1–4 p.m. in Elliott University Center’s Cone Ballroom. This recruiting event is designed to connect students of all majors and class years to local and on-campus employers who are looking to fill one or more open part-time positions.

Interested in preparing before the event? Drop into the CPD office in advance or stop by the fair’s Career Coaching Zone for quick tips on landing your next job.

Career and Internship Fair

The Fall 2026 Internship and Career Fair is on Sept. 30 from Noon–4 p.m. at the Kaplan Center. This signature recruiting event for all majors connects UNCG students and alumni with worldclass employers. They will hear about full-time jobs, internship, and graduate studies.

Students get to explore career options with a diverse set of employers and network with companies they may be interested in interning with or working for full-time. In addition, graduate schools will be in attendance to talk to students about their programs.

A free shuttle to the fair will run for the entire event. Pick-up and drop-off is on Stirling St. in front of the EUC across from Walker Parking Deck and the Kaplan Center entrance on McCormick St.
