A SOAR volunteer speaks with a student.

We are excited to welcome our newest Spartans and their guests to UNCG. New Student Transitions & First Year Experience is looking for volunteers to help us welcome our new Spartans and their families to SOAR in June.

SOAR volunteers are asked to offer cheerful welcomes and helpful directional guidance, as well as answering general questions about SOAR and UNCG. Volunteer shifts are all outside and near our parking and check-in sites.

All volunteers will receive a UNCG t-shirt to wear during your shift, a pom, and other helpful items. Volunteers will also be invited to our SOAR Preview.

Please consult with your supervisor about your interest in volunteering and how this time might impact your work day. Flex and comp time are at the discretion of your supervisor; supervisors will receive notification of your volunteer shift.

Follow this link to a Google form for SOAR details and to sign up for one or more volunteer shifts. The deadline to sign up for a volunteer shift is Friday, May 12 at 5 p.m.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Kaitlyn Singleton at kisingleton@uncg.edu

Thank you, and go, Spartans!
