On Nov. 13, HHS will welcome Chris Wilson ’98 as the featured speaker of the student-facing lecture “Quality of Life Is a Right: Designing Lives, Not Programs.” He will speak at the Nursing Instructional Building, Room 124, at 3:30 p.m. with a light reception to follow.

All those interested can RSVP in advance.

After that lecture, all are welcome to join Wilson with HHS Dean Carl Mattacola, Ph.D., for a fireside chat and hors d’oeuvres at Marcus T. Johnson Alumni House, Oakley Room. Participants can hear more about Wilson’s experiences and lessons learned at UNCG, his work with the City of Greensboro, and his current profession at Cone Health. Hors d’oeuvres will be served from 5-5:30 p.m. with the chat from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Please RSVP for the fireside chat.

Chris Wilson earned a bachelor of sciences in leisure services management from UNCG in 1998. He rose through the ranks for the City of Greensboro, from general manager of Bur-Mill Parks to the deputy city manager. This year, in August, Wilson transitioned to the role of manager of government affairs for Cone Health. There, he works to strengthen the ties between the health care system and local Triad communities.
