New look for UNCG's Recreation and Wellness website

UNCG’s Schools, Colleges, departments, and administrative units are making progress on moving their sites into the Next Generation Web Presence project (NGWP).

UNCG has launched 29 websites so far. They are presently building 36. In addition:

  • 37 sites will be decommissioned or consolidated.
  • 6 will not be migrated due to off-branding requirements.
  • 40 staff members were trained over the course of nine 2-hour sessions. This training is still being offered every other week.
  • The College of Arts and Science’s site is prepared to launch in the coming days, becoming the first of the Schools and Colleges to migrate.

It’s a timely opportunity for offices and unit staff to try out new web assets, improve their digital outreach to students, and to clean up old and outdated material from their webpages. Housing and Residence Life, for example, has reduced its number of pages from 372 to 93. Recreation and Wellness reduced its pages from 177 to 71.
