Faculty and staff who are interested in expanding professional and leadership skills may consider registering for Safe Zone. This series of workshops is open to all UNCG faculty, staff, and students at the graduate and undergraduate level striving to create a network of allies, understanding, empowerment, and safe spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community across campus and beyond.

Students are eligible to participate in two different workshops titled “So, You Want To Be An Ally?” and “Trans Zone”. Faculty, staff, and graduate students are eligible to participate in a three-part Safe Zone Series consisting of Safe Zone 1.0, Safe Zone 2.0, and Trans Zone where they will become “Safe Zone Certified” upon completion of all three.

For more information, please contact Hailey Paivanas at hnpaivan@uncg.edu. Link to register along with dates and times of the workshops can be found here.
