University Communications (UC) has rolled out a new and updated subject matter expert list. This easy-to-access webpage links reporters, authors of journals, podcast producers, and others directly to the experts. They can search by topic to contact a faculty or staff member who can explain the latest issues and trends to their audience.

The list is now public, and all UNCG faculty and staff may now submit to be included.

How to submit:

  • Fill out the form. In the final drop-down menu for Request Type, select “I would like to add a person or update the Expert list.”
  • Fill out all relevant information.
  • Submissions will be reviewed by the faculty or staff member’s dean.
  • If approved by the dean, the entry goes to UC for final review.

Changes to the list may take time, but UC will work expeditiously to keep it updated with new entries.

The list links directly to official employee pages. Everyone who wishes to be on the subject matter expert list are highly encouraged to review their page to make sure their contact information and research descriptions are accurate and up to date. Contact your department’s directory manager if you have any changes.
