Olushola “Shola” Ishola passed away at the age of 39 after being diagnosed with cancer. He was an international student from Nigeria working towards his Master of Arts in peace & conflict studies. A vigil will be held on Wednesday, November 9 to remember his brief but impactful time at UNCG.

This marks the first time that the School of Nursing has received the Health Professions HEED Award by INSIGHT Into Diversity, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education. This is also the fifth consecutive year that UNCG has earned the HEED award.
