PhD in Kinesiology - Human Movement Science

The Ph.D. Program in Kinesiology with a concentration in Applied Neuromechanics is primarily intended to prepare individuals as academic researchers and faculty members in areas including: athletic training, sports medicine, biomechanics, and/or motor behavior. This track offers opportunities for teaching, mentoring, and research experiences through funded research, teaching, and clinical assistantships.

Beginning as the Department of Physiology and Physical Culture in the Women’s College in 1892, the department took the progressive view that women should be physically active to improve their health and wellness.
