UNC Greensboro’s Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) concentration prepares registered nurses for advanced practice providing primary care to individuals and families across the lifespan. Students develop the clinical knowledge and decision-making skills needed to assess patients, diagnose and manage health conditions, promote wellness, and provide preventive and ongoing care for children, adults, and older adults.
Designed for nurses who hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, the 44-credit MSN-FNP program combines graduate nursing coursework with hands-on clinical experience. Students study advanced health assessment, pathophysiology, pharmacology, diagnostic reasoning, population health, and primary care management while preparing for professional certification and practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
