With the launch of the new uncg.edu site, there is now a University calendar. The purpose of this calendar is to provide one asset containing external facing, major events of the University, its colleges and schools for the general public to be aware of and attend.

Units may request their events be listed on the calendar. The calendar is featured on the following pages:

  • Home Page
  • UNCG Calendar Events page
  • Campus Life & Resources page
  • Info For pages
  • News
  • iSpartan

Qualifications for inclusion in the calendar

  • These events may be annual, bi-annual, or one-time only. 
  • All events must be open to the public with or without a purchased ticket and must be held on campus. Examples include performances, festivals, exhibitions, film showings, concerts, and lectures.
  • Each event must meet a minimum attendance capacity of 100+. 
  • Events oriented for prospective students and/or for groups larger than 100 individuals will receive priority.

  • Date
  • Time 
  • Location 
  • Description: brief comprised of 1-2 sentences; and paragraph comprised of 3-5 sentences
  • Lead Faculty/Staff contact
  • Hosting School/College/Department with contact information
  • Ticketed or Free
  • Supporting Materials: images or web links

Requestors are encouraged to submit an image with their event listing request. Due to the future migration to Microsoft 365 and the launch of this new Event Calendar, University Communications will cease use of the Google Public Calendar effective March 1, 2023.
