Christmas tree in downtown Greensboro.

Festival of Lights brings everyone from far and wide for the start of Downtown Greensboro, Inc.’s “Downtown in December” programming. Once again, UNC Greensboro will send performers, artists, and other Spartan representatives to help the community ring in the season.

The Festival of Lights is being held on December 6 this year starting at 5:30 p.m. UNCG has always appreciated the opportunity to sponsor this special community event, and they will be found throughout the night:

  • The UNCG Chariots will perform, taking the South End Stage on the 500 block.
  • Student artists and small business owners will bring the spirit of entrepreneurship to the UNCG Student Art Market.
  • The Department of Interior Architecture will have a display featuring their renderings of the historic Fordham Drug Store for renovations.

Additionally, UNCG Athletics, dancers, and Spiro will also be at the Holiday Parade on December 7.
