Thanks to the generosity of donors, the campaign exceeded its goal by 33 percent. Students are already feeling the impact, with more than 1,000 having received scholarships, and thousands more will follow in the years to come.
In the performances and panels this month, UNCG faculty will lead discussions on building trust across language, how we perceive AI, and share a month-long art exhibition of work combining different disciplines in creative practice.
The scholarship from Staff Senate supports staff members or one of their family members wishing to further their education. Applications can be made through March 25.
The Health Professions Graduate School Fair is part of the North Carolina Health Career Expo Tour. It will present 75 programs from various health fields on March 25. Students of all majors are welcome to come by and learn more about potential educational and career pathways for after they graduate.
This year, the Center for Youth, Families, and Community Partnerships commemorates three decades as a statewide force for community wellbeing. Among its celebrations, it invites everyone to join it at the Greensboro Gargoyles hockey game on April 11. Part of the ticket proceeds will go back into CYFCP’s community work.
Mary Jo Helfers, a clinical nurse professor who passed away in 2023, continues to guide the paths of UNCG School of Nursing students. She first established the Mary Jo Helfers Endowed Scholarship in 2013 to honor her great aunt, and an estate gift is now increasing the endowment.

Acclaimed author Casey McQuiston will visit UNCG on April 9 for an event co-sponsored by University Libraries and the Greensboro Bound Book Festival. Their moderated discussion, Q&A, and book signing are free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required. McQuiston’s works include Red, White, and Royal Blue, One Last Stop, I Kissed Shara Wheeler, and The Pairing.
