UNCG graduated 2,813 students on May 7–8 to the Class of 2026, each with their own story that brought them here. And every one of them will leave with something lasting and transformative, their degrees like passports for entry into big places and bright futures.
Vesa Basha came to UNCG with a voice, but she’s leaving with the confidence and skills to make a real impact in the music business thanks to the School of Music’s PopTech program.
As a senior in UNCG’s School of Education, AnnaGrace Berry is already doing what she once only imagined – leading her own classroom. Guided by resilience, empathy, and the support of her service dog, Berry has found purpose in teaching students with special needs while completing her student teaching.

Saxophonist Franco Romero is living his dream in jazz performance. He began with conservatory training in Cuba before a pivotal meeting with his mentor at UNCG, and scholarships from the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation helps him fine-tune his craft.
