The Online P.B.C. Birth-Kindergarten Initial Licensure Student Experience
This program is for those seeking an initial North Carolina BK teaching license who already have an undergraduate degree in early childhood or a related field. Students in this certificate program will participate in real-time field experiences and student teaching in inclusive, early childhood settings. This can be completed in your own classroom. Students will benefit from:
- Experienced and committed faculty from the Departments of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) and Specialized Education Services (SES), who teach, advise, and mentor you in this innovative interdisciplinary program.

After Receiving a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Birth-Kindergarten Initial Licensure
Upon completing the program, graduates are eligible to be recommended for the North Carolina BK Initial Teaching License. Grads will also be eligible for employment in a variety of settings. These include:
