College Teaching, P.B.C.

400

College Teaching is evolving as the landscape of higher education and the needs of students shift in the Innovation Age of tomorrow. Engaging current postsecondary educators and emerging educators, the Certificate provides a flexible and experiential learning space to meet these shifts and prepare for the challenges of the future. Aligning with the CAST Universal Design for Learning Framework, the Certificate examines how trends in education, evolving student needs, and emerging technology (e.g. generative AI, adaptive learning) will influence the modern classroom.

Participants in the Certificate will be encouraged to complete the CAST Credentials in UDL Mindset, UDL Analysis, and UDL Application; explore evidence-based teaching practices within their own context; apply UDL principles to their courses; and participate in experiential learning opportunities. The Certificate is geared for active college educators, participants will complete three 7-week online courses with experiential training opportunities (e.g. Safe Zone, Green Zone, Web Accessibility, etc.) and observed teaching.

*Current UNCG Faculty and Staff can use their annual Employee Tuition/Fee Waiver to complete this program.
